Darood is a Persian word, means praising and sharif means elevated or honoured. Words and sentences are combined to form darood sharif. It means to praise and honour the holy prophet Mohammad (PBUH) with great love and compassion. Actually this is a symbol of praising and in Arabic known as ‘Salawat.’ Darood Sharif is a way to send blessing and salutations on the prophet Mohammad (PBUH ) and his progeny. Darood sharif are many and darood sharif which Muslims recite in their prayers is also known with the name of darood e Ibrahime.
ALLAH Subhan Wa Ta'ala and all the Angeles send Darood Sharif & Salam on the Prophet Mohammad (PBUH ) and all the Muslims are ordered to send,as well.
The following verse of Holy Quran Commands believers to Send (Durood) and peace upon him.
إِنَّ اللَّهَ وَمَلَائِكَتَهُ يُصَلُّونَ عَلَى النَّبِيِّ ۚ يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا صَلُّوا عَلَيْهِ وَسَلِّمُوا تَسْلِيمًا - 33:56
Indeed Allah and His angels send blessings on the Prophet; O People who Believe! Send blessings and abundant salutations upon him. (Everlasting peace and unlimited blessings be upon the Holy Prophet Mohammed.)
(Surah Al Ahzab Verse 56)
Darood Shareef is the Divine Blessings to Prophet Mohammad (Peace be upon Him). It is complimentary phrase which Muslims make after the name of Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon Him). When Almighty Allah sends Darood and Salaams upon Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon Him), He is actually blessing him. When we Ummati sends Durood Sharif Upon Him, We Seek Blessings & Rehmat From Him As He is Rehmatul lil Aalameen. Nabi-E-Kareem Rauf-O-Raheem Huzoor ﷺ Himself Stated That Whoever Sends Me Maximum Durood Shareef In His Worldly Life, He Will Be Most Close One To Me On The Day Of Judgement.
Nabi-E-Kareem Rauf-O-Raheem Huzoor ﷺ said,
“Whoever reads Salawat upon me 100 times daily, ALLAH Subhan Wa Ta'ala will fulfill 100 of his needs, 70 needs for the hereafter and 30 worldly needs.”
Darood E Ibrahim / Durood E Ibrahim:
اللّٰہُمَ صَلِّ عَلٰی مُحَمَّدٍ وَّ عَلٰٓی اٰلِ مُحَّمَدٍکَمَا صَلَّیْتَ عَلٰٓی اِبْرٰھِیْمَ وَعَلٰٓی اٰلِ اِبْرٰہِیْمَ اِنَّکَ حَمِیْدٌ مَجِیْدٌ اللّٰہُمَ بَارِکْ عَلٰی مُحَمَّد ٍوَّ عَلٰٓی اٰلِ مُحَّمَدٍکَمَابَارَکْتَ عَلٰٓی اِبْرٰھِیْمَ وَعَلٰٓی اٰلِ اِبْرٰہِیْمَ اِنَّکَ حَمِیْدٌ مَجِیْدٌ
Allahumma Salli 'ala Muhammadin Wa 'ala aali Muhammadin, Kama Sallaita 'ala Ibrahima Wa 'ala aali Ibrahima innaka Hamidum-Majeed.
Allahumma Barik 'ala Muhammadin Wa 'ala aali Muhammadin Kama Barakta 'ala Ibrahima Wa 'ala aali Ibrahima innaka Hameedum-Majeed.
Translation Of Durood E Ibrahim
Bless, O Allah, Muhammad and the people of Muhammad, as Thou didst bless Abraham and the people of Abraham. Thou art indeed the Praiseworthy, the Glorious. Prosper, O Allah, Muhammad and the people of Muhammad, as Thou didst prosper Abraham and the people of Abraham. Thou art indeed the Praiseworthy, the Glorious.
ﺃَﻋُﻮْﺫُ بِاللَّهِ مِنَ الشَّيْطَانِ الرَّجِيمِ
بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ
اَلصَّلاَةُ وَالسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا رَسُولَ اللّٰهِ،
~●~●~●~●~●~●~●~●~●~●~●~●~●~●~
اَلصَّلاَةُ وَالسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا رَسُولَ اللّٰهِ،
اَلصَّلَاةُ وَالسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا حبيبَ اللّٰهِ،
اَلصَّلَاةُ وَالسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا نَبِىَّ اللّٰهِ،
اَلصَّلَاةُ وَالسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا خليل اللّٰهِ،
اَلصَّلَاةُ وَالسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا صَفِىَّ اللّٰهِ،
~●~●~●~●~●~●~●~●~●~●~●~●~●~●~
اَلصَّلَاةُ وَالسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا وَلِىَّ اللّٰهِ،
اَلصَّلَاةُ وَالسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا خَيْرَ خَلْقِ اللّٰهِ،
اَلصَّلَاةُ وَالسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا نُورَ عَرْشِ اللّٰهِ،
اَلصَّلَاةُ وَالسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا اَمينَ وَحْىِ اللّٰهِ،
اَلصَّلَاةُ وَالسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا مَنْ زَيَّنَهُ اللّٰهُ،
~●~●~●~●~●~●~●~●~●~●~●~●~●~●~
اَلصَّلَاةُ وَالسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا مَنْ شَرَّفَهُ اللّٰهُ،
اَلصَّلَاةُ وَالسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا مَنْ كَرَّمَهُ اللّٰهُ،
اَلصَّلَاةُ وَالسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا مَنْ عَزَّمَهُ اللّٰهُ،
اَلصَّلَاةُ وَالسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا مَنْ عَلَّمَهُ اللّٰهُ،
اَلصَّلَاةُ وَالسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا مَنْ سَلَّمَهُ اللّٰهُ،
~●~●~●~●~●~●~●~●~●~●~●~●~●~●~
اَلصَّلَاةُ وَالسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا مَنِ اِخْتَارَهُ اللّٰهُ،
اَلصَّلَاةُ وَالسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا سَيِّدَ اْلاَوَّلينَ وَاْلاٰخِرينَ،
اَلصَّلَاةُ وَالسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا شَفيعَ الْمُذْنِبِينَ،
~●~●~●~●~●~●~●~●~●~●~●~●~●~●~
اَلصَّلَاةُ وَالسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا خَاتَمَ النَّبِيينَ،
اَلصَّلَاةُ وَالسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا رَحْمَةً لِلْعَالَمينَ،
اَلصَّلَاةُ وَالسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا اِمَامَ الْمُتَّقِينَ،

اَلصَّلَاةُ وَالسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا رَسُولَ رَبِّ الْعَالَينَ،
صَلَاوَاتُ اللّٰهِ وَمَلاَئِكَتِهِ وَاَنْبِيَائِهِ وَرُسُلِهِ وَحَمَلَةِ
عَرْشِهِ وَجَميعِ خَلْقِهِ عَلٰى سَيِّدِنَا مُحَمَّدٍ وَعَلٰى اٰلِهِ وَصَحْبِهِ اَجْمَعينَ

ALLAH ﻋﺰﻭﺟﻞ Aap Par Fazl farmaye !
